Coaching for Individuals
Background
Individual coaching is an opportunity for non-profit leaders and changemakers who want to clarify their purpose, set meaningful goals, strengthen confidence, and develop leadership practices that honor both their values and well-being. At its core, coaching is a partnership — one I often compare to the practice of “woodshedding.”
I often compare the process of coaching to the practice of “woodshedding.” In jazz and blues traditions, musicians would step away to a shed to practice, refine their sound, experiment, and rebuild confidence before returning to the bandstand. In coaching, this idea translates into the power of stepping outside your daily work to reflect, experiment, and grow. Unlike solo practice, coaching creates a shared practice space: a supportive environment to explore habits, values, and aspirations with reflection, honesty, and guidance.
In March of 2025 I received a Life, Leadership, & Executive Coaching Certification from the Institute for Coaching Excellence (a Level 2, ICF-accredited program). My next step is to complete ACC (Associate Certified Coach) credential through the International Coaching Federation. In order to complete this next step, I’m currently offering a limited number of pro bono coaching spots for social impact leaders who want to do this work in real time with me.

About Coaching:
Here is how the International Coaching Federation describes coaching:
At its heart, coaching is about exploration. It’s a process that stirs up creativity, fuels personal growth, and maximizes both professional and personal potential. Through powerful questioning and insightful dialogue, coaches support you in discovering your own solutions, whether for life decisions, career shifts, or business challenges. Coaching goes beyond surface-level improvements; it cultivates deep, lasting change.
